Competitive
A competitive synchronized swimming program is run by a club with the purpose of developing the swimmer’s skills to the highest possible level of excellence. Swimmers compete according to age group in routines and figures. Training for competition requires a commitment to a minimum of two training session per week for swimmers 12 and Under, to five or more sessions per week for swimmers training to compete at the highest level. Where numbers allow, swimmers can compete in team, and opportunities may be available to compete in solo and duet as well. Programming includes swimming fitness, strength and flexibility training, and routine dry land training.
