Lead Technical Controller

I have been involved in artistic swimming for 20 years, starting my journey in New Zealand before moving to Perth in 2014 to join the Australian national team. I competed internationally from 2014 to 2020, representing Australia at several benchmark events including World Championships and the 2016 Olympics.

Since retiring from competition, I've stayed close to the sport through coaching and technical officiating. I've held various coaching roles in WA, including at SupaNova and West Coast Splash, and served as ASWA's High Performance Pathways Coach. Today, I volunteer as the Lead Technical Controller in WA, organising the TC side of competitions and training new TCs. As a relatively new role within artistic swimming, being a TC has been a great way to stay across the sport's evolving rules and strategies. I've also had some great opportunities to attend national and international competitions and workshops to keep learning and developing my skills.

I always strive to contribute to competitions that are fair and unbiased for the athletes, and to support our WA athletes in achieving their best results each season. I love being part of the artistic swimming community in WA and sharing my lifelong passion for the sport with others.
